$85 flat rate fee to replace a DC power jack on your Laptop.

Laptop DC Power Jack replacement.
We specialize in replacing laptop's DC Power Jacks for all brands. We have many years experience providing laptop repair, specially including power jack repair.
Most DC jack power connectors are damaged during normal use. The power jack's solder connectors are subjected to mechanical pressure; and, also they conduct a high current from 2A to 5A. The jack's solder joints are being heated and then cooled off, resulting in development small solder cracks. The prolonged use of a laptop with a bad connector may cause electrical arcing, overheating, burning of the PCB main board and damage to power the power connector plug.
It is not necassary to have to replace your motherboard if the DC Power Connector is not working. The old jack can be repaired; or the jack may be replaced.

We only replace power jacks, it is a more time consuming process than repairing the DC power jack. Most contacts inside the power jack develop oxydation, causing higher resistance and extra dissipation of heat inside the jack thus making a future failure more possible. By replacing the jack, reliability is greatly extended.

Symptoms of a laptop with broken DC jack:
-You must hold the AC Adapter plug at a certain angle to provide power for the laptop.
-The laptop’s power plug/AC adapter port feels loose.
-The laptop’s power indicator lights turn on and off intermittently.
-The unit suddenly turns off by itself.
-Even with a new AC Adapter, the system still does not turn on.
-The laptop battery does not get charged properly.
-The laptop only runs most of the time on battery.
-Sparks and scratching noises coming out of the back of the DC Power Jack.
-Unit randomly switching from AC to battery power and back
-The display on your laptop flickers

To test for broken power jack:

Remove the battery
Plug in the power cord
Start the laptop -- preferable in Setup Menu
Gently wiggle the DC power plug on the back of the laptop
